Indian Creek Middle School to the Georgia Aquarium

By admin Uncategorized No Comments

On May 2, 2011, Samson Trailways was pleased to transport the sixth grade class at Indian Creek Middle School in Covington, Georgia, to the famous Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. The bus company was excited to assist in the field trip by providing transportation on seven of their charter buses. All of the students and teachers at the Middle School gave positive feedback to Samson Trailways. Rob Gourlay, the sixth grade math and social studies teacher, said “Please thank your drivers for me. They were excellent and very professional. Thank you for all your help with our transportation needs.”

Indian Creek Middle School was established in 1997 and is a part of the Newton County School System. Belonging to metropolitan Atlanta, Indian Creek always tries to take full advantage of its close proximity to all that the big city has to offer. The trip to the Georgia Aquarium is an example of how the school benefits from how close its location is to Atlanta.

The Georgia Aquarium offers a wonderful educational experience, for students that are aligned with the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS), at each grade level. This is why it makes for a perfect choice for Indian Creek’s sixth grade field trip. Educational experiences, that allow children to get out of the classroom and also give them the opportunity to explore through hands on adventures, are extremely important to learning. Samson Trailways also understands that importance, and was honored to be a part of this amazing field trip.
